You may already sense it in your yoga practice - that moment when effort dissolves into ease, when breath leads movement and something ancient moves through you. Qigong gives that something a name: Qi. And it offers the tools to work with it intentionally, gracefully, and with deep respect for its power.
Qigong (氣功) is a traditional Chinese system of cultivating life energy - known as Qi - through coordinated movement, breath, and intention. At its core, Qigong means “energy work” or “skill with Qi.”
This course is your invitation to enter the world of Qigong as a yoga teacher. Not by setting aside what you already know, but by deepening it. You’ll learn how to feel Qi in your own body, how to attune to the meridians and the elemental cycles, how to align form, breath, and heart-mind in every movement—and how to skillfully incorporate Qigong within Yoga classes.
Drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoist philosophy, this training weaves together theory, embodied experience and clear directives for intelligent sequencing. You’ll explore the Five Elements, the twelve rivers of energy known as the meridians, the Dantian energy centers, and the cyclical wisdom of the Meridian Clock. But more importantly, you’ll explore what these mean in practice—through breath, stillness, and sequences that awaken the physical body, but also the subtle body.
